MoMA Design Store – Portable Fan Project
The project involved the development of a portable fan for the MoMA Design Store in New York, integrated into their retail catalog as a minimalist tech accessory. The activity focused on creating a functional device for the international market, combining portability with aesthetic rigor in line with the distribution channel's standards.
The product is a rechargeable pocket fan featuring a retractable blade system that protects the components when the device is not in use. The cylindrical structure is made of matte thermoplastic material with a soft-touch finish and includes an integrated safety lanyard. The rotation mechanism is engineered to ensure constant airflow with low acoustic impact, optimizing the efficiency of the internal battery.
L10brand’s scope of work included the engineering of the mechanical closing system, the industrial design of the casing, and the development of the electronic components. The activity also encompassed production management and verification of the technical certifications required for commercialization in the U.S. and European markets.
